Tipu's Roar - a freedom fighter's tale, a children's book (ages 8 and up) tells the true story of Tipu Sultan, also known as the Tiger of Mysore and his fight against the British colonization of South Asia. The story of Tipu Sultan is told through a warm grandfather to his young granddaughter, showcasing the multi-generational results of colonialism.

Tipu's Roar lends a sense of pride to young readers with fantastic illustrations of tigers, elephants and captures the heroism of Tipu Sultan on every page. Ali's book needs to be on every child's reading list and library.

This book comes at a time when colonization and its lasting effects are being dissected and its shackles broken. Ali has dismantled a complex topic into an empowering message for young readers, their parents or grandparents that have lived through colonization and want their history preserved for generations to come.
